Privacy notice

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, who it's shared with and how long it's kept. It's written to meet Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

Who is responsible

John Ssenkeezi, Kampala, Uganda, is responsible for the personal data collected through johnssenkeezi.com. You can reach me through the contact form at johnssenkeezi.com/contact.

What I collect and why

  • Contact form: your name, email, the type of enquiry, your organisation and phone number if you give them, and your message, so I can reply to your enquiry and follow up about it.
  • Newsletter: your name and email, so I can send you insights you asked for.
  • Free tools (Health Check and Skills Gap Assessment): your name, email and your answers, so I can work out your results and email your report. For the Skills Gap Assessment I also ask how many hours a week you have for training, to pace your plan.
  • SEO / AI Visibility Scorer and Stack Builder: the website address or answers you enter. No name or email is needed.
  • Usage counts: how many times each tool is started and finished, without your name or email.

Do you have to give it?

No. Every form is optional. If you don't give your name and a working email address, I can't reply to you or send your report.

Marketing emails

I only send newsletters or other marketing if you sign up or tick the box to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask me to stop at any time through the contact form. I'll confirm in writing within 14 days.

Who your data is shared with

I don't sell your data. It's stored and processed by these service providers, who handle it on my behalf:

  • Supabase (database), Vercel (website hosting) and Resend (sending email), which may store data outside Uganda, including in the European Union and the United States.
  • Cloudflare (bot protection on forms).

By submitting a form, you agree to your data being stored with these providers outside Uganda.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries and tool results: up to 24 months after your last contact, then deleted.
  • Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe, then deleted.
  • Usage counts: kept, as they don't identify you.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you can object to it being used. Contact me through the contact form. If you're not satisfied with my response, you can complain to Uganda's Personal Data Protection Office (pdpo.go.ug).
