Chapter 1
Context
Transsion Holdings’ Uganda marketing team manages TECNO, Infinix and itel across multiple channels at meaningful scale, with an established level of digital execution already in place.
ChallengeThis could not be a digital marketing basics session. The programme needed to focus on the harder questions: how to structure content for growth, turn social interest into sales activity, build better creator systems and use AI without weakening brand quality.
Chapter 2
Role
I designed and facilitated an intensive three-day programme built around practical growth systems, creator strategy, direct-message conversion and AI-powered marketing operations.
Chapter 3
Approach
- Built a content portfolio around reach, engagement and conversion using a 70/20/10 model, then worked through TikTok growth mechanics and creator-ecosystem design.
- Compared always-on creator relationships with campaign-by-campaign procurement and explored creator ROI beyond likes and views.
- Developed a direct-message sales pipeline with lead scoring, WhatsApp as a revenue channel and clearer links between online interest and store visits.
- Redesigned marketing workflows around AI augmentation, sharper prompt engineering and governance to protect brand equity at scale.
Chapter 4
Outcomes
- Created a shared growth-marketing framework across content, creators, direct-message conversion and AI-enabled operations.
- Moved the discussion from channel activity towards measurable roles for reach, engagement, conversion and revenue.
- Equipped the team with practical models for creator management, WhatsApp conversion and responsible AI use.
Chapter 5
Lessons
Advanced training is most useful when it respects the team’s existing capability. The value came from skipping the fundamentals and working on the operating choices that can separate good execution from category-leading marketing.
