Supporting Chipper Cash growth in Uganda and the launch of Chipper Stocks

Combining growth marketing, product-launch support and Tier 1 influencer management around a new investment proposition.

Chapter 1

Context

My work with Chipper Cash included broader growth-marketing support alongside the market launch of Chipper Stocks, a new investment proposition within the brand’s product portfolio.

ChallengeThe assignment brought product launch, growth marketing and creator-led distribution into one workstream. The challenge was to support the new proposition while coordinating high-profile influencer relationships as part of a coherent market-facing launch.

Chapter 2

Role

I provided growth marketing and launch support, with responsibility for coordinating Tier 1 influencer activity and an events company as part of the market-facing work around Chipper Stocks and the overall brand positioning in Uganda.

Chapter 3

Approach

  1. Supported go-to-market activity for the launch of Chipper Stocks.
  2. Contributed growth-marketing thinking across awareness, consideration and acquisition activity.
  3. Managed Tier 1 influencer relationships and campaign delivery around the brand.

Chapter 4

Outcomes

  • Supported the market-facing launch of Chipper Stocks & later Chipper Card
  • In-country positioning of a global brand through tier 1 influencer executions and a media mix
  • Brought product launch, growth marketing and creator management into one coordinated work stream.

Chapter 5

Lessons

In fintech, creator reach is only useful when it strengthens product credibility and makes a new proposition easier to understand, backed by product activation and trial.
